Tokyo Good Times!

Our first week in Tokyo was great.

When we first arrived at the airport, Simon was very nicoteine deprived. Luckily there was a little smoking box he could swelter in.

My friend from St Cuth's, Amy Johnstone, and me and Simon's friend Ye Miao, from uni, were on the JET programme. So we got to hang out with them, instead of listening to Brits and Americans marvel at the differences and similarities between their languages. "So you say dustbin?" etc...

Simon and I explored the streets of Tokyo...

And had an intimate meal...

Simon convinced Amy and Ye to miss the lecture on "Being Asian in Japan" so we could explore Harajuku.

Here are some traditional figurines.

It's so refreshing to see a bit of honesty in the retail industry.

If you don't like your family, you can just go and buy a new one. They really think of everything here.

Fancy a cup of tea? No? How about some forgiveness whiskey? Or some ebola milk?
Mum, I thought you would like this knife holder.

A new singlet for Simon...

And a new pair of shoes.

We made some friends over dinner. The guy on the left was a great guy. He was a Taoist and healed my aura. His mate was a self-professed "sukebe" (pervert/kinky guy) who seemed quite taken with me.

Then it was off to kareoke...

Life in the fast lane.

It just goes to show, sex really can sell anything.

Then off to some park, for more sightseeing.

The lightning was really, really loud. I got a little frightened...

Miscellaneous:

Has Coppertone's advertising always been this paedophilic?

Simon says he prefers Georgia Black, but I think really he prefers Georgia European.

Then it was off to Fukuyama, but more on that soon!...
